Brussels Cultural Market | October 2026
During the Brussels Cultural Market, Kittie Me Ceramics invited visitors to discover the beauty of Seoye (서예), the traditional Korean art of calligraphy. Rooted in centuries of artistic and cultural heritage, Seoye is more than simply writing characters. It is a form of artistic expression in which each brushstroke carries its own rhythm, movement, and emotion.
Through this introductory workshop, participants were encouraged to explore Korean calligraphy using traditional brushes and ink, experiencing the expressive qualities of handwritten characters. The workshop offered a moment to slow down, experiment with unfamiliar forms, and discover how language can become a personal and meaningful artistic expression.
By bringing this traditional practice into a contemporary cultural setting, the workshop aimed to create an approachable connection to Korean heritage, inviting participants to experience the beauty of Hangul through creativity, curiosity, and mindful expression.
